Brittany Friestad

Brittany grew up in Central Florida after moving here from the outskirts of Washington,
DC in the rural farmlands of Maryland. Eager to travel Brittany spent her freshman year
of college in England where she studied classic English literature, music, and theater.
She traveled extensively throughout Europe, where she experienced its wealth of
cultures and cuisines, gaining an appreciation for diversity. She finished her
undergraduate degrees in Washington State at Walla Walla University, double majoring
in Mass Communications and Fine Art. Her favorite classes included Interpersonal
Communication, Communication Theory, and Art History. Brittany sees Art as a window
to understanding the human experience. She has a personable approach for building a
report with her colleagues, clients, third parties, and opposing counsel.

Moving back east Brittany obtained her J.D. and LL.M from the University of New
Hampshire School of Law in Concord, NH. She contributed to the work of the UNH Law
Criminal Practice Clinic representing indigent clients. She found further opportunity with
the UNH Law Intellectual Property and Transactions Clinic, with recognition under the
USPTO, where she counseled clients on trademarks matters. Brittany organized the law
student art show each semester, supported international students, and explored the
various mountain hikes in New England.

Brittany came to Cohen Law Group after working in e-discovery on litigation teams,
reviewing documents for large scale cases with global law firms. These cases involved
various fields of law such as corporate responses to DOJ warrants, pharmaceutical,
immigration, environmental damage, trade-secrets, construction, negligence, and
manufacturing defects. She also assisted companies dealing with security breaches of
confidential information by hostile foreign entities. Brittany is admitted to practice law in
Florida, Alabama, and Washington, DC.
Focusing on painting, drawing, and photography, Brittany’s art is in private collections
around the country. She lives in Central Florida with her Cavalier King Charles and
Cocker Spaniels. Brittany also regularly attends concerts, is an avid weight-lifter, yogi,
kayaker, swimmer, plant lady, and amateur ornithologist.
