Patrick Cassady

Patrick is an Orlando native who is dedicated to serving his community. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. Subsequently, Patrick earned his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. During law school, he received honors for his outstanding pro bono work; and was selected to serve as a teaching assistant for Legal Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Trial Practice courses.

Upon graduating from law school, Patrick joined the Office of the Public Defender for the Ninth Judicial Circuit in Orlando to fight for the community’s indigent. While there, he zealously advocated for hundreds of clients on criminal charges ranging from low-level misdemeanors to violent felony offenses. Patrick gained extensive litigation experience conducting jury trials, appeals, evidentiary hearings, motion practice, and depositions. After leaving the Office of the Public Defender, Patrick worked for a well-established Central Florida firm, where he defended hospitals and individual health care practitioners at all stages of medical malpractice litigation. There, he handled a multitude of cases ranging from complex medical malpractice cases to general liability claims.

As an attorney at Cohen Law Group, Patrick uses his litigation and trial advocacy skills to aggressively represent Florida’s homeowners and small businesses who have had their insurance claims wrongfully delayed, denied, or underpaid. Patrick advocates tirelessly to ensure his clients obtain the best possible outcomes.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, playing golf, and cheering on his Florida Gators.
